Actually, in the last 40 years we have spent $9 trillion (2003 constant dollar) on the “war on poverty” and it has only gone up. So maybe what someone puts on a piece of cardboard isn’t necessarily true even if it is on the internet. Throwing money at problems doesn’t work.
